Our Commitment to the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)

BURKUT DİJİTAL AMBALAJ SAN. TİC. A.Ş. is committed to full compliance with Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR). As a supplier to the automotive and industrial packaging sectors, we work closely with our customers and partners across the supply chain to ensure that every packaging solution we deliver meets current and upcoming EU sustainability requirements.

Our compliance program covers material sourcing, product design, documentation, and reporting — supporting our customers' own regulatory obligations throughout the supply chain.

Key Areas of Compliance

1. Compostability & Material Standards (EN 13432)

Where applicable, our compostable packaging materials are tested and certified in accordance with EN 13432, ensuring they meet the biodegradability and compostability criteria required under PPWR.

2. Recycled Content Declaration (Art. 7)

We provide recycled content declarations for our cartonage and packaging products in line with Article 7 of the PPWR, documenting the percentage of post-consumer recycled material used in production.

3. Reuse & Recyclability Marking

Our packaging is labeled in accordance with PPWR marking requirements, clearly identifying reusable and recyclable packaging components for end users and downstream partners.

4. Digital Product Passport Readiness (Art. 11)

We are preparing our documentation and data infrastructure to support Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements as they come into effect, ensuring traceability of materials and compliance data across the packaging lifecycle.

5. Customs & Cross-Border Documentation (EORI)

For cross-border shipments within and beyond the EU, our export documentation includes valid EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) references to support smooth customs processing for our customers.

Our Compliance Process

• Review of packaging design against current PPWR requirements at the quotation stage

• Collection of material test reports and recycled content data from raw material suppliers

• Preparation of Declaration of Conformity and Material Data Sheets for customer submission

• Ongoing monitoring of regulatory updates and phased PPWR obligations

• Coordination with customers (e.g. OEM and Tier 1 partners) on packaging-specific compliance documentation​
